Gail Gilman
Regional Council
Gail Gilman is an influential executive with more than 25 years of experience designing and driving policy, ecosystem change, strategy, and programming aimed at dismantling the root sources of homelessness and poverty in California and across the United States.
Gail led Christian Church Homes (CCH) for a year, where she stabilized a historic non-profit housing group, modernized business practices, re-positioned the brand, and stabilized several real estate assets. Gail brought on a new leadership team, launched community engagement initiatives, and raised the first capital from the philanthropic community. Gail also got CCH “back to mission” and focused on agency culture.
Prior to leading CCH, Gail spent more than three years as Chief Strategy Officer of All Home California, a start-up that partners with the private sector to invest in regional, scalable solutions that disrupt homelessness. Prior to joining All Home, Gail spent 17 years guiding the Community Housing Partnership (CHP), first as a director and then as Chief Executive Officer.
Gail received her master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco and her bachelor’s degree in political science from San Francisco State University. She is currently the Port Commissioner for the City and County of San Francisco, appointed by Mayor London Breed.
