Dawn brings together her experience from Silicon Valley’s high-growth start-up industry with her experience in addressing the issues of homelessness to develop new and effective solutions at scale.
Dawn is the Co-founder and former Chief Impact Officer with Urban Vision Alliance (UVA). UVA offers a new approach for collaboration that is focused on using strategies and tools to bring together key stakeholders, in both the private and public sectors, to develop comprehensive and coordinated solutions to address street homelessness. Dawn drove key relationships and initiatives, focused on the San Francisco Bay Area. She identified, engaged, and mobilized broad coalitions of stakeholders into cohesive alliances, working together towards a common goal. She also oversaw UVA’s operations, ensuring that all the systems, resources, and people were in place and aligned to achieve UVA’s ambitious goals. Dawn remains an active board member.
Dawn also has over 25 years of experience as a senior executive in people and business operations, predominately in Silicon Valley’s tech industry, including roles at Yahoo, Prosper Marketplace, and RPX Corporation. Collaborating with and providing strategic counsel to her fellow leadership team, she advanced the vision and drove improvement of organizational agility to rapidly grow and scale.
Dawn is a San Francisco Bay Area native, currently lives in San Francisco with her husband and adorable dog, Finn, and attended Sonoma State University, where she received a BA in Psychology. Coupling her unique experiences with her commitment to address the humanitarian crisis of homelessness, she firmly believes that together we can create a world where no one is sleeping on the streets if we collaboratively commit to act with urgency, transparency, and a deeper compassion for our entire community.
